Working hand-to-hand with programs committed to enhancing the community and expanding education, Yapı-Tek Çelik Sanayi upholds an environmental protection policy focused on minimizing pollution and positively contributing to the local eco-system.

Through a joint venture with Gün-Tas Energy, another Yapı-Tek company, Yapı-Tek Çelik Sanayi aims to manufacture all products using green energy. Construction of hydroelectric power plants will provide sufficient energy to meet the power requirements of the all on-site manufacturing facilities and executive offices.

The hydroelectric power plants constructed to supply Yapı-Tek Çelik Sanayi's energy will be small and strategically placed, to not disrupt the local eco-system of the hosting location. Since no fossil fuel is consumed, emission of carbon dioxide from burning fuel is eliminated. While some carbon dioxide is produced during manufacture and construction of the project, this is a tiny fraction of the operating emissions of equivalent fossil-fuel electricity generation.
