Yapı-Tek Steel, was founded under the name Çelik Sanayi in 1959 as Turkey's first forging factory. Over the years, it grew to an internationally respected, dynamic leader in the industry. Its customers include foreign companies such as Mercedes, Renault and Ford, along with Turkey's leading purchasers of forged metal parts, such as Türk Traktör and TOFAŞ. Following a brief hiatus shortly after the turn of the century, the company was acquired by the Yapı-Tek Group in 2005, and resumed operations under new management in 2007.
In 2008, Yapı-Tek Construction, the parent company of the Yapı-Tek Group, invested heavily in expanding Yapı-Tek Steel’s capacity beyond steel forging to also engage in custom structural steel fabrication projects. The decision to expand Yapı-Tek Steel’s range of activates was based on Yapı-Tek Construction’s high level of demand for structural steel.
Through the multiple technology upgrades commissioned by its new, experienced and entrepreneurial executive team, Yapı-Tek Steel continues to skillfully execute even the most complex forging and, most recently, structural steel fabrication projects.
