Yapı-Tek Steel’s main plant is situated on the Marmara coast in the Turkish province of Kocaeli. The Kocaeli plant houses all machinery and equipment required for the steel forging operations, and serves as the hub for the company’s structural steel fabrication unit. 

 

The Kocaeli plant has 16,000 square meters of enclosed facilities, and a total of 40,000 sq meters of land total.

 

The Kocaeli plant’s highly strategic location cannot be overstated. The factory is literally adjacent to an international seaport, allowing for direct loading of finished steel products regardless of weight or dimensions. Additionally, the facility is serviced by a private railway turn-off, connected to Turkey’s main railway line with service through Istanbul to Europe and directly to the Middle East. 

 

The plant is located 90 km east of Istanbul, close to the city’s two international airports, and a major highway connecting Istanbul to Ankara. The highway continues from Istanbul to the European Union, allowing for speedy trucking deliveries.

 

The province of Kocaeli is the industrial center of Turkey. The region’s universities educate a large number of skilled metalworkers and engineers year-to-year. An experienced, motivated and educated workforce is therefore readily available.

Yapı-Tek Steel also has two additional locations for steel fabrication services. The additional plants are located in the major metropolitan areas of Bursa and Ankara. Both plants are supported by strong infrastructure, allowing for seamless logistic operations.

 

The Bursa plant has 2,500 square meters of enclosed area, and 6,000 square meets of land total. The Ankara plant has 1,000 square meters of enclosed space.
